Actor Woody Harrelson used to be movie legend Marlon Brando’s chess buddy.
The former Cheers star struck up a friendship with his hero over the chess board – and admits he always let the big man win.
He says, “Those were good times. Marlon did sometimes cheat a little bit… He made the move and it was the wrong move and then I’d take advantage of it and he’d insist on getting the move back.
“I’d argue for a bit and then I’d be like, ‘I’m arguing with Marlon Brandon…! Yeah, you can have the move back.'”
Natalie Portman will find it hard to relocate to Paris, France with her husband Benjamin Millepied next year (14), because she loves everything about living in Los Angeles.
The Black Swan star admits she treasures the years she has spent in Tinseltown and she always looks forward to discovering new arts around town.
She tells Marie Claire magazine, “I just really, really love it here. It’s one of the most exciting places to be in the world right now. It’s really central in terms of the arts. It feels like things are happening in L.A., you know? New York is more where art is bought than where art is made…”
However, Portman will have to leave her adopted home behind when she moves to the French capital, where Millepied has accepted a job with the Paris Opera Ballet, and she reveals the news took her by surprise.
She says, “When Ben asked me if I wanted to go to Paris, I freaked. Everyone dreams of living in Paris.”

Sandra Bullock has lavished praise on the crew behind Alfonso Cuaron’s new space film Gravity for turning a studio backlot into a children’s “wonderland” so her young son could have fun while she was at work.
The survival project was one of the first the actress signed up for following the 2010 breakdown of her marriage to cheating ex Jesse James and the adoption of her baby boy Louis, and she made it clear to producers that keeping her son safe and happy was her number one priority.
She says, “I can’t selfishly take journeys anymore because I have to take a little boy along with me.
“I said (to producers)… make it so I’m not somewhere not paying attention because I’m so worried about, ‘Where is he? Is he having fun? Is this a good life experience?’
“(Producer) David (Heyman) turned a backlot of a sound stage in rainy London into a wonderland for a one-and-a-half-year-old. Everything was bumper guarded! People go, ‘What is that?’ And I go, ‘That is to protect a child’s head! All of it!'”
Bullock admits she hugged her baby a little tighter each night after spending hours shooting in isolation, portraying a medical engineer who has lost a child on a space shuttle mission gone wrong.
She adds, “I kept having to say, ‘What would I do (if I lost a child)?’ and I realised I might be far worse off than she is. You just have to go there and know at the end of the day, you can unplug and go home and do something a lot of… people who were parents can’t.”
Inglourious Basterds star Diane Kruger hates playing gun-toting characters onscreen because she’s not a fan of weapons.
The German actress, who is currently playing a cop in U.S. TV drama The Bridge, admits she’s not a natural shooter and doesn’t enjoy pulling the trigger on make-believe bad guys.
She says, “I’m not very good at it. Maybe it’s because I’m not American, but I don’t like guns. I don’t like anything that has to do with guns. I don’t like people being shot in shows; I’d rather watch a sex scene.
“I nearly killed a New York Times reporter who was on set the very first day of the show… I was trying to look all professional and tell her about my character and I fumbled with my holster and the gun just dropped on her head… The review was not so great for me.”

It won’t be the first time he has teamed up onscreen with Olsen – they will appear together onscreen in the upcoming Godzilla remake.

The sombre get together took place at the Hollywood Boulevard home Monteith shared with his pals until he moved out earlier this summer (13), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It has now emerged that one of the last people the Canadian actor had spent time with before his death was a former acting teacher, called Maureen Webb, who joined the Glee star for dinner on Thursday (11Jul13).
