ROBIN THICKE has finally opened up to celebrity news about his controversial performance with MILEY CYRUS at last month’s MTV VMAs performance, admitting that he thought:
“Let’s make them talk.”
When Miley Cyrus shocked the world with her raunchy performance at the MTV VMAs, people quickly wondered what her dad Billy Ray thought of his “little girl” grinding her ass against the “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke‘s crotch.
Naturally, we also thought Thicke‘s wife, Paula Patton, would be upset but she also turned out to be “all good” with it.
Now, Robin reveals that he was not surprised about how their arguably “history making” stage show played out.
In an interview with the November issue of Vanity Fair, Thicke admits that he was forewarned about Miley‘s plans to “take her clothes off and dance around and she might bend over,” to which he nonchalantly responded:
“I don’t care, let’s entertain the people. Let’s give them something they’re not ready for, let’s make them talk.”
“I spent my whole career playing it safe, being a gentleman, never doing anything controversial.”
Apparently, featuring nude models in his music video was not controversial enough for the performer.
