Katy Perry was definitely a California girl growing up.
On Friday, the singer stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote the upcoming Smurfs sequel, even donning a Smurfette-inspired blue dress.
When the conversation focused on her childhood, Perry, 28, took the opportunity to explain her bumpy right knee (if anyone’s noticed it at all).
“Growing up in Santa Barbara, I did a lot of surfing and skating … wherever I go, I have these two rocks that I still can’t get out of my knee,” she told Leno.
When the witty host reminded Perry that there are doctors “who can take that stuff out,” the “Part of Me” singer admitted, “I kinda like it, I feel closer to earth.”
Sorry Katy Perry, we’ll never look at your right knee the same way again.
The Smurfs 2 arrives in theaters July 31.
