WikiPad Inc. announced last week that they are bringing a 7″ Wikipad tablet to retailers in spring 2013 for $249 for gamers.

The company was originally going to launch their first product with a 10″ version, but they decided the “initial price point” might be too high, leading to the decision to launch with a 7″ design.

The 7″ tablet will feature 16 GB memory with micro SD slot to support an additional 32 GB of storage. It’s powered by the NVIDIA Tegre 3 quad-core mobile processor and offers an aspect ratio of 16:10. A number of services are expected to be available at launch, including games available from PlayStation Mobile, OnLive, Google Play and more. The tablet will also run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
