The song is the first track from his upcoming second “20/20 experience” album.

JT fans, gather yourselves.

Justin Timberlake has been extremely active on Instagram today. All signs are pointing to the release of the second single off his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2.

It began earlier in the day when JT asked his fans, “Should I release a new single today?” (Easy answer there: um yeah).

Timberlake also included a behind-the-scenes studio photo and a snippet of said single:

If you don’t have Instagram on your mobile device, or if the web version freezes on your computer (I feel you), head over to JT’s website, where you can find already released posts on some sort of puzzle board. Four mystery locks remain. Could one of them contain the new single?

Judging from the snippet (note the lyric “You knock me out”), the track is most likely “T K O.”

Timberlake first announced the new album’s track list through a series of black-and-white videos released via – you guessed it – Instagram back in August.

The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 drops Sept. 30.

Update at 3 p.m. PST: here’s another snippet

Update at 5:27 p.m. PST: Here’s another teaser. JT has also confirmed that the song is “T K O.”

Since the moment the rumor swarmed the web, the world has waited with baited breath for Justin Timberlake to reunite at the MTV Video Music Awards with the band where he began: *NSYNC.

The buzz proved true when the other four members of the beloved ’90s boy band – JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick – joined JT on the Barclays Center stage Sunday night.

But the whole, much-hyped reunion was little more than a blip – we clocked it at about a minute and a half – in Timberlake’s seemingly 15 minute set, easily the longest of the entire awards show, which featured a expertly-mixed mash-up of some of his best solo hits, from “Cry Me A River,” to “Senorita,” to “Mirrors.”

*NSYNC rose from beneath the stage as the group dove into their 2002 single, “Girlfriend,” before breaking out some classic choreography for a bit of “Bye Bye Bye.” And before you could blink, it was over. They shook hands, Timberlake said, “*NSYNC,” and the rest of them sank back from whence they came.

It was all very Destiny’s Child’s showing up in Beyonc ‘s shadow at the Super Bowl.

Justin Timberlake‘s new music video has arrived.

“Take Back The Night” drops the singer in a nocturnal New York City: owning the stage at Yankee Stadium, cruising through the city in a 1970 Chevelle SS, and dancing in the heart of Chinatown (sometimes, with a smooth-moving little boy).

Then he heads into Apotheke, an apothecary-themed, speakeasy-style cocktail bar on Chinatown’s storied Doyers Street, where he grooves at the center of the crowded dance floor. In the end, he hops in his ride and drives off into the dark.

Directed by Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craen and Darren Craig, the clip debuted Tuesday after fans tweeted their hearts out in an interactive Twitter-driven campaign on Timberlake’s custom site. As the total number of tweets with the hashtag #TakeBackTN rose, behind-the-scenes bits about the shoot were unlocked, eventually building to the release of the “Take Back The Night” music video.

After almost two weeks of speculation and swirling rumors, it’s finally official: Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are going on tour.

On the heels of their Top 10 single, “Suit & Tie,” the music-making duo are hitting the road for the Legends Of The Summer summer stadium. Kicking off July 17 in Toronto, Timberlake and Jay-Z will hop between big cities across North America – from New York City and Chicago to Los Angeles and Philadelphia – before wrapping up Aug. 16 in Miami at Sun Life Stadium.

“What are you doing this summer?!?!” Timberlake tweeted, along with a link to the announcement on his official website. “#LegendsOfTheSummer w. @S_C_”

Just a day before JT blew the lid off the tour, Jay-Z kept the rumor mill rolling by posting photos of various lit-up venues – such an Yankee Stadium, Candlestick Park and the Rose Bowl – on his website, Life + Times, heavily hinting at the tour name with a hastag: #LegendsOfTheSummer.

But before they board the tour bus, Timberlake and Jay-Z – who is expected to release a solo follow-up album to The Blueprint 3 this year – will headline London’s Wireless Festival, a two-day event to take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on July 12 and 13.

Confirmation of the Legends Of The Summer tour comes on the heels of news that Timberlake will return to Saturday Night Live for a fifth time, serving as both host and musical guest on March 9. Just two days later, the former N’Sync singer will take over Late Night With Jimmy Fallon during the week of March 11-15, marking the first time a guest has been featured for an entire week.

The appearances will top off Timberlake’s carefully calculated publicity push ahead of his third studio release, The 20/20 Experience, which will hit shelves on March 19. Ever since commencing his musical comeback in early January, Timberlake has stayed in the spotlight: From performing during a pre-Super Bowl party, going old-school on the Grammy stage, wowing a packed-house at Hollywood Palladium, and turning up London at the BRIT Awards, to amassing a following on his new Instagram account, unveiling the album’s artwork and track list, dropping a track penned for his newlywed wife Jessica Biel, “Mirrors”, and debuting his David Fincher-directed “Suit & Tie” music video.
