When Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess of Cambridge was safely in hospital and about to pop (not in so many words), the Twittersphere went bananas. Though some may not want to admit it, they’re just as interested in this royal birth as the rest of us. Take for instance, Chrissy Teigen:

“I don’t even care.” Me, on the royal baby, as I furiously scroll twitter for updates

– christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 22, 2013

Just 11 minutes before that, Teigen tweeted:

This isn’t your baby Kate. Apparently it is our baby. All of us.

Girl, the miracle of life is righteous. Especially when it’s royal.

Remember when Scott Eastwood took some of his clothes off for Town & Country?

Well, that shirtless display is back – in Instagram form.

On Tuesday, Clint Eastwood‘s 27-year-old son shared a set photo from Fury, the World War II film he stars in with Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman and Shia LaBeouf.

“Trying to out flex the tank. Not working,” the younger Eastwood wrote.

Not to anger the tank or the people who built it, but we’re huge fans of Eastwood and his flexed frame.

Fury opens in November 2014.

Hurrah! The best site to make you feel absolutely horrible about yourself turns five today. The online newsletter, which prides itself on “Make, Go, Get, Do, Be See” and curated by Gwyneth Paltrow is the envy of Blake Livelys the world over, and hated/loved by millions of women like myself.

Many have tried to outdo GOOP, but none have succeeded at rubbing our noses in living like the 1%.

My favorite journal entry was one about air travel. Paltrow called on magazine editor Donna Hay and talent manager Seth Friedman to give readers tips on the best ways to travel.

“Air New Zealand has an amazing looking new feature in economy class on their new 777 service called Sky Couch,” Hay wrote. “You purchase an entire row for just slightly more than two seats would cost.”

With that said, please enjoy our gallery of 10 items to celebrate GOOP’s anniversary.

JT fans, gather yourselves.

Justin Timberlake has been extremely active on Instagram today. All signs are pointing to the release of the second single off his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2.

It began earlier in the day when JT asked his fans, “Should I release a new single today?” (Easy answer there: um yeah).

Timberlake also included a behind-the-scenes studio photo and a snippet of said single:

If you don’t have Instagram on your mobile device, or if the web version freezes on your computer (I feel you), head over to JT’s website, where you can find already released posts on some sort of puzzle board. Four mystery locks remain. Could one of them contain the new single?

Judging from the snippet (note the lyric “You knock me out”), the track is most likely “T K O.”

Timberlake first announced the new album’s track list through a series of black-and-white videos released via – you guessed it – Instagram back in August.

The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 drops Sept. 30.

Update at 3 p.m. PST: here’s another snippet

Update at 5:27 p.m. PST: Here’s another teaser. JT has also confirmed that the song is “T K O.”

This sea isn’t big enough for the two of them.

“212” singer Azealia Banks is waging war against Lady Gaga after the Mother Monster encouraged fans to dress up like mermaids – like herself at the Sunday’s VMAs – for her upcoming show at London’s iTunes Festival.

After hearing about the new dress code for Little Monsters, an unimpressed Banks tweeted:

@ladygaga hmmmm sounds alot like Azealia Banks’ mermaid balls.

Of COURSE gaga wants to play mermaid again….. Pffft.

Not picking a fight. Just all looks soo familiar…. To me.

Apparently, Azealia called dibs on mermaid fashion in 2012 after throwing a series of concerts where she channeled her Ariel. Appropriately, Gaga the responded to the dig by tweeting a GIF of the crying Little Mermaid, seen below.

The two reportedly collaborated on a track earlier this year, but Gaga later confirmed that it will not appear on her upcoming album, ARTPOP.

Yo ladies, Imma let you finish but this guy from TLC’s My Strange Addiction had the best Mermaid get-up of all time.

selena gomez and kelly clarkson

Kelly Clarkson wants the world to know that she’s on Team Selena Gomez.

The pop-country crooner took to Twitter Monday evening to sing the “Getaway” star’s praises, writing:

Dear Selena Gomez, you are by far one of the most beautiful, sexy, classy things on this planet. #Goddidgood #texasgirls

– Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) August 27, 2013

Of course, Selena re-tweeted the kind words. She’s “classy” like that.

Kelly shouted out Seleners’ good looks, and perhaps the “class” she was referring to was the way Gomez recently stayed true to gal pal Taylor Swift. When asked what Tay said when One Direction graced Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards stage (it looked a lot like “STFU”), Selena stayed mum and only had words of love for her bestie.

Speaking of the VMAs, Kelly Clarkson had a few thoughts on that subject, as well. She tweeted her brief review of some of Sunday’s night’s performances by using a simple hashtag: #pitchystrippers. Ouch.

It happened. Some three years after declaring the “internet’s completely over,” Prince went on Twitter. And it was awesome.

On Tuesday, the Purple One took over his band 3rdEyeGirl’s Twitter account and posted several wonderful messages and photographs, including a selfie and a snap of his dinner.

– PRINCE 3RDEYEGIRL (@3rdeyegirl) August 14, 2013

While it’s pretty obvious that he did add too much pepper, the bigger takeaway is that Twitter will never be the same again, now that Prince is on it.

Elsewhere in the Twitterverse, Ryan Seacrest tried on some “Applause” makeup with Lady Gaga, Anna Kendrick saw a horse do a really adorable thing and Jake Pavelka expressed his grief over the death of Bachelor star Gia Allemand.

One week after officially turning the big 1-6, Kylie Jenner celebrated her birthday with her nearest and dearest on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Perhaps the big highlight of the night came when Drake made a surprise appearance (with fellow performer Big Sean) and planted a big kiss on the birthday girl.

Jenner later shared the moment on Instagram, along with the caption “my night.”

In a re-gram of the photo, proud mama Kris Jenner wrote, “Wow wow what an amazing night @kyliejenner I hope you had the most wonderful birthday! Thank you Drake AKA @champagnepapi @bigsean for the surprise performances!! #loveyoukanye.”

Other family members were also spotted at the bash, including Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick.

Big Sean’s gal pal Naya Rivera was also in attendance.

“Thank u to everyone who came to my party and making my night so special . . . HAD THE BESTTT NIGHTTT,” Kylie Jenner wrote on Twitter after the bash. “DRAKE & BIG SEAN what?! Thank you guys so much xx.”

Craving more Kardashians and Jenners? A new episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs on E! tonight at 9 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. PST.

Selena Gomez green bikini

Looks like Selena Gomez is ready to enjoy her brand new surfboards.

After picking up Teen Choice Awards for Choice Music Star, Choice Breakup Song and Choice Hottie, the “Come & Get It” songstress celebrated by slipping on a funky retro bikini and partying with some gal pals.

Selena took to her Instagram account to share some personal pics of her and her buddies chillin’ in what appears to be a hot tub after Sunday night’s award show.

Earlier in the evening, the 21-year-old starlet walked the red carpet in a chic green Cushie et Ochs gown. Gomez’s sophisticated and sexy style choice even landed her a spot on our best dressed list.

We’re also digging Selena’s high-waisted, printed bikini. The look definitely follows in the fashion footsteps of one of her besties, Taylor Swift, since Tay’s been known to opt for vintage-style bathing suits as of late.

Check out more of Selena and her best bikini moments in the gallery, above.

Little Monsters around the world still don’t know the name of Lady Gaga‘s first single, but thanks to a Twitter post by Mother Monster herself on Friday, we’re one step closer to the big reveal.

In her first tweet since February (yep), Gaga took the opportunity to share the cover art for her first single from the highly anticipated ARTPOP.

The nude image – covered at the appropriate parts so it’s still SFW – continues the theme that’s been teasing fans in recent weeks, from the image accompanying her album announcement to her V Magazine sneak peek.

According to Gaga, the track will arrive Aug. 19. For those keeping track, that’s six days before the singer will perform the same track at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

ARTPOP drops Nov. 11, with pre-orders through a special app available on Sept. 1.
