Pitbull, the musician, got his stage name from pitbull the dog breed, and dogs are masters at marking their territory!

But while canines tend to wiz on different things to claim them, Pitbull has decided to take another approach — through a line of fragrances!!

The Miami native is launching his very first men’s and women’s scents, both titled Pitbull, on New Year’s eve and will have an unveiling at his NYE concert in Miami that evening.

So why branch into fragrance? Many reasons, one of which is his upbringing!

He explained:

“Being raised by nothing but women, my mother was my father. I was always around these great-smelling products and I would see the way [his mother] would mix them up and wear different outfits. I was always intrigued by fragrance.”

However, he didn’t want his scents to be TOO overpowering, like some of the ones he’s encountered on others in the past. Pitbull reminisces about Miami men in the 80s, saying that many:

“always had a heavy smell to them. Personally I wasn’t a big fan of that – I was more about a softer, sexier smell. I’m in the business of attracting women, not men.”

To get a sense of the masterful creations the performer has created, here are the descriptions of the juices:

The women’s eaux de toilette has a top note of raspberries, crisp red apples and sunny mandarin, has a heart of nectarine blossom, freesia and jasmine, and has a base of creamy woods, amber, vanilla and musk. It will be sold in three sizes: 1 oz. for $30, 1.7 oz. for $45, and 3.4 oz. for $55.

The men’s eaux de toilette has sun-drenched bergamot, mandarin, cardamom and sage top notes, a heart of violet, woods and verbena, and a base of sultry vetiver, musk, rich tonka bean and amber. It will also be available in three sizes for the same prices as the women’s, but will also be offered as a 3.4-oz. aftershave for $36 and a 2.6-oz. deodorant stick for $14.

Ooo VERBENA!!

To get your paws on what’s sure to be the ultimate nostril pleasure, you can begin pre-ordering the fragrances on December 1st. After the launch date, the product will be available exclusively on Amazon.com until Valentine’s day on February 14th!

rachel-zoe-opens-a-blow-dry-salon-dreamdry.jpg

If a clothing line doesn’t work out, then a salon will, right?!

Rachel Zoe will soon be adding ‘salon owner’ to her already lengthy resume later this year with the opening of DreamDry in New York City.

With the help of her former CAA agent Robin Moraetes, DreamDry will offer “unprecedented, highly personalized services” that will “take the blow-dry concept to the next level.”

If you’ve ever watched an episode of The Rachel Zoe Project, then you know Rachel is always getting her hair done by BFF Joey Maalouf, so in a strange way it kinda makes sense.

The stylist explained:

“Hair is the perfect way to reflect your personal style – it’s such an important component of creating and completing your look. To me, hair should be considered an accessory – it changes by event, season, mood. With DreamDry, we are creating a place where women can go to ensure that their hair is consistently as stylish and chic as they are.”

Sounds bananas!

If you aren’t in New York, it’s okay. You can still get the Zoe experience because they plan to expand after the first DreamDry takes off.

Would you want to get blown at Rachel’s salon???

the-dark-knight-rises-makes-one-billion-the-avengers-one-point-five

Holy SHIZ! It is one good day to be a superhero!

The Dark Knight Rises has reportedly pulled in $431.2 million domestically, and $574 overseas…which combined, makes it the 13th film ever to total over a billion dollars, with an estimated, collective $1.005!

And yes, that means the the concluding chapter the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman trilogy has beaten its predecessor, The Dark Knight, which made $1.003 billion back in 2008!

Meanwhile, its action companion this summer The Avengers has now passed $1.5 BILLION worldwide in its 19th week released globally, and is now officially the world’s THIRD biggest movie OF ALL TIME, with only Titanic and Avatar standing in its way!

Incredible!

James Cameron better enjoy his throne while he has it, though!

We have a feeling that The Avengers 2 will be coming for him HARD when it’s released in a few years!

Ha!
